Via holiday mode and presence-awareness through compatible Z-Wave gateways, Radiator Thermostat is able to protect your home and your wallet by enabling frost-protection mode and keeping room temperatures as low as 8ºC. Radiator Thermostat programs itself. And then it pays for itself. Via machine-learning and self-programming, compatible gateways can utilise your manual control of Radiator Thermostat via its buttons or your gateway’s app to suggest an automated schedule.

Some motorised radiator valve controllers adjust a room’s temperature by constantly opening and closing the valve. That damages the radiator permanently. Aeotec’s Radiator Thermostat avoids such damage through a proprietary algorithm designed to maintain room temperatures without having to frequently open and close the radiator’s valve. It takes steps to protect the mechanics of your radiator’s valve. And it takes steps to protect the same valve from calcification. Radiator Thermostat includes an anti-calcification feature that takes steps to help prevent hard-water from damaging your radiator. Not all installations are equal, but Radiator Thermostat aims to always be useable. Its large, 3x2 centimetre screen can be vertically rotated to avoid data being presented upside down in particular installations. That same screen is also backlit for easy use even when it’s dark.

With a wireless signal that can reach 50 metres in an open space, it’s use of Z-Wave allows it to respond to heating commands at speeds as much as 50% versus older, wireless thermostat radiator valves. Battery powered devices are convenient. But having to change their batteries too often is the opposite of convenient. With Radiator Thermostat, you won’t. Its unique balance of German hardware and software engineering and its power-saving, wireless technology gives it a battery life of at least 1 heating season before its 2 AA batteries need changing.
